Quiet creativity
Cosy up at home and make time for you with my self-led creative retreat

Quiet Creativity
Make time for you this November with my self-led creative retreat
A month of creative nurturing
Quiet Creativity is a 4 week self-led creative retreat to gently nurture yourself and your innate creativity. Every week throughout November you will be guided to connect to yourself and the world around you with a light and playful programme of workshops and micro-moments.
This is a safe, slow online space away from the hustle and bustle, filled with quiet moments to get you feeling good. Through a mixture of creative activities, journalling and wellbeing prompts I’ll encourage you to let go of inner judgements and tune into your creativity using artmaking without the pressure of ‘making art’.
Come home to your creativity. Come home to you.
How it works
The Quiet Creativity retreat is delivered through online pre-recorded creative workshops and short daily text messages which offer a wellbeing prompt.
Throughout the retreat you will have access to a private online space where each week new workshops will be unlocked. Every Monday morning you’ll receive an email from me letting you know when new content has become available, explaining the week’s theme and with a password reminder. You will also receive a text message every day of the retreat with a 5 minute prompt to take a moment of Quiet.
Quiet Creativity is self-led, meaning all workshops and activities are pre-recorded, or available in written and audio format, so you can access them in your own time, at a pace that best suits you. There are no live workshops or zoom calls, so you can focus on your own journey and make this a time for you.
You will get…

A private online space
You’ll have access to a password protected online portal with new weekly content unlocked every Monday morning.
Feelgood themes
Every week we explore a different theme around creativity & wellbeing. The theme will influence the workshops, journalling and daily prompts.
Warm-ups
Every week you’ll get a quick creative warm-up to start things off. These will take 5-10 minutes, and will help loosen your creative muscles.
Workshops
Every week you’ll get a pre-recorded workshop, where I guide you through a longer creative activity. These will take between 30 – 45 minutes.
Reflections
Every week you’ll also get 3-4 journalling prompts to reflect on your experiences. You don’t need a special notebook for this, any paper will do.
5 minutes of Quiet
Every morning you’ll receive a text message from me with a mini feelgood prompt to help bring 5 minutes of Quiet to your day.
A paper pack
I’ll send you an envelope in the post with a selection of different collage papers for you to play with during the workshops.
Quiet Playlist
You’ll get access to a Quiet Creativity playlist I’ve specially curated for the retreat, which is filled with calm music to create to.
In Quiet Creativity we will…
Invite in more:
Quiet spaciousness
Creative play
Sacred self time
Gentle reflection
Small moments
Appreciation of everyday creativity
Leave at the door:
Making “good art”
Being “an artist”
Trying
Perfectionism
The hustle bustle
Exploring natural creativity
You don’t need or want to be an artist to join Quiet Creativity, you just need a desire to bring a bit more creativity and calm into your world.
Everybody is innately creative, and it is this natural creativity which I’ll guide you to explore. Using markmaking, collage, expressive drawing, word play and reflective prompts, you’ll be invited to connect more deeply to yourself and the world around you in gentle, simple and joyful ways.
There is no right or wrong way to take part, and no good or bad art – the only thing that matters is the creative process and your experience of it.

What do you mean by ‘Quiet’?
In this retreat, ‘Quiet’ means a few different things…
A gentle pace
I have structured Quiet Creativity specifically with rest and self-care in mind. You can access the activities and workshops at a time and place that best suits you, and work through the retreat at your own pace. I have also included a rest week in the middle to slow things down.
Sacred self time
Exploring our natural creativity can be a vulnerable thing to do, and I believe it can be supportive to do this in the safety of our own space, without any pressure to share or socialise. While there is great value in creative community, sharing our work with others can intensify feelings of comparison and self-judgement, and so throughout this retreat I invite you to choose to create for you – and only you.
Moments of peace
During this retreat you will be guided to seek small moments of peace, stillness and connection – both within yourself and with the people and places around you.
You will need…
You will need some basic materials which you will hopefully already have in your home:
A computer, tablet or phone
Plain white A4 paper
Pen & pencil
Scissors
Glue (e.g. Pritt stick)
Colouring pencils/pens
Paper scraps for collage
Activities can be adapted around whatever materials you already have, so there’s no need to buy anything special.

FAQ
How much does it cost?
It costs £149 for one space on Quiet Creativity.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes! You can pay the cost in instalments by using Clearpay or Klarna during checkout (this is dependant on your eligibility with these third parties). Clearpay and Klarna offer a range of payment options, including pay in 3 and pay in 4 instalments. You can view details during checkout.
If you are not able to use Clearpay or Klarna for any reason, you can contact me directly at rhiannon@rhiannonadler.co.uk to arrange an alternative payment plan method.
How do I use a discount code?
If you have a discount code, click the “Add promotion code” button during checkout, and enter your code in the box.
Do you offer low cost spaces?
I aim to make my offerings as financially inclusive as possible whilst still being viable for me to run, which I why I offer payment plan options.
If a payment plan is still unattainable for you, I do reserve three spaces per round at a greatly discounted price of £25 for anyone who is experiencing significant financial disadvantage – such as anyone unemployed/on benefits/on maternity etc, without savings, who has little expendable income. I don’t require explanation or proof of your economic situation, but trust that you will make your own judgement on whether this applies to you and be honest with both me and yourself. Please be mindful that if you request this spot when you can truthfully afford to pay the full amount, you are limiting access to someone who truly needs it.
If you would like to request the discounted spot, please email me at rhiannon@rhiannonadler.co.uk.
When does it start & end?
The retreat begins on Monday 30th October 2023, and runs until Sunday 3rd December 2023, with a rest week 13th – 19th November.
I'm not in the UK, can I join?
Absolutely! You can join Quiet Creativity from anywhere in the world. Weekly emails will go out at GMT-time, but the daily text messages will be sent out at 9am every day according to your timezone. There is no difference in cost, but you may be charged foreign transaction fees by your bank when you book a spot if you are outside the UK. It might also take up to 2 weeks for your paper pack to reach you in the post if you live outside of Europe.
Why is there a rest week?
Keeping up with a programme for weeks at a time can feel intensive and overwhelming for many people, and I felt this would defeat the point of the retreat. By offering a shorter programme at a slower pace and including a rest week, I hope to make the retreat accessible to as many people as possible.
What are the art activities?
None of the activities in this retreat are about ‘making art’ in the way you might be used to. I do not try to hone or craft specific skills with you – instead, I will guide you to use creativity and artmaking as a tool for self-expression. To do this we’ll use a range of techniques, including collage, markmaking, expressive drawing, word play and journalling.
Are there any live calls?
Quiet Creativity intentionally does not include live calls, to allow you to take part at your own pace.
However, if you would like some accountability or company whilst you work through the content, you are very welcome to come along to Art Hour sessions, which are running on most Fridays throughout the retreat. You can find out more and sign up here.
When is content released?
Each week’s content will become available by 9am GMT on the Monday morning. You will receive an email when new content is available, with a password reminder for the Quiet Creativity online space.
When are text messages sent?
Text messages are sent every day at 9am according to the time zone you tell me you are in. No text messages are sent during rest week, so you will receive a total of 28 days of text messages.
Can I opt out of receiving texts?
The text messages are short prompts for you to take 5 minutes of Quiet in your day, so hopefully they will be fun to receive – however I know not everyone is a fan of text messages. If you’d love to join Quiet Creativity but don’t want to receive the daily text messages, that’s absolutely fine. Simply let me know immediately after you have purchased a spot (by Tuesday 24th October), and I will opt you out.
There is no discount on the cost of your booking if you choose to opt out of receiving text messages. Please be aware that if you opt out of receiving the text messages, you will not receive the daily Quiet prompts at all.
What is the time commitment?
In total, the retreat activities will take approximately 2 hours per week, however this will be broken up in smaller moments. You can roughly expect the following:
- Text message prompts will take around 5 minutes
- Warm-ups will take 5-15 minutes
- Workshops will take 30 – 45 minutes
- Journalling will take 10 – 20 minutes
You do not have to complete the activities at the same time, although I would recommend completing warm-ups, then workshops, then journalling in that order.
How long will I have access?
You will have access to the workshops for 6 months (or more) after the programme, so if you want to come back and revisit anything in that time you are absolutely welcome to do so.
Can I share what I create?
Of course! You are most welcome to share what you create if you feel excited to do so. The retreat doesn’t include a community or sharing element on purpose to encourage self-exploration, but if you want to share anything I would LOVE to see what you create. You can email me directly at rhiannon@rhiannonadler.co.uk or if you use Instagram you can tag me @rhiannon.adler – but there is equally no pressure at all to share anything.
How many trees get planted?
I will plant 1 tree for every signup to Quiet Creativity with my charity partner Treesisters. You can read more on my Sustainability page.
How do I contact you?
You can contact me with any questions or problems at rhiannon@rhiannonadler.co.uk . I work flexible hours Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm, and it may take a few working days for me to reply.
